Why We Started Nextpeer
Remember those moments when life felt overwhelming, and finding support seemed nearly impossible? That’s where our story began. We’re a group of friends, colleagues, and individuals who, despite trying therapy, books, and endless searches, still felt isolated. Only to find that most solutions were expensive, impersonal, or just too overwhelming. What we longed for was a space where we could connect, share, and be understood.
Drawing from our personal encounters with mental health challenges, we set out to create a platform unlike any other. One built on the belief that your mental health journey deserves understanding, support, and a shared space for growth.
Our Team
Our team is small but mighty, comprised of diverse backgrounds and frontline experience. From industry giants like Microsoft, X, and Meta to startups pushing the boundaries of innovation, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a shared commitment to excellence. We wanted a platform where you could find genuine, empathetic support, free from judgment and accessible to all.
Currently, we're a team less than 10 people, mostly generalist programmers with at least two strong specialties. We work closely with product and design, placing the user at the center of all our technical reflections. Our emphasis is on pushing the boundaries of what could be (more) awesome for the end user.
What's next?
A LOT. We are a fast evolving company, we make mistakes and work hard to correct them. It’s very probable that some of the above choices will prove wrong in the future and the sooner we find out, the better! We are at the very beginning of our journey and past experiences taught us that the most interesting challenges are ahead of us.
This is our story, and it's just the beginning. Welcome to Nextpeer.
